John Rector currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Warp since January 2023. Prior to this role, John was the Sr Director of Engineering for Reddit, Inc. from August 2021 to January 2023, overseeing innovative product development in Reddit X. John co-founded Dialpad in 2010, holding the positions of VP Engineering and Board Director until January 2021, during which the company grew significantly and completed a Series E funding round. Earlier in John's career, engineering roles at Google and Microsoft contributed to expertise in software development and systems engineering. John holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, both from Stanford University.
