Melissa Witherow

Melissa "Missy" Witherow is a seasoned professional in development and annual giving, currently serving as the Senior Director of Annual Giving at Washington and Lee University since August 2015. Previous roles at Washington and Lee University include Director of Annual Giving and Senior Director of Development for Parent Giving. Prior experience at Sweet Briar College spanned from July 2007 to July 2015, where Witherow held several key positions, including Interim Vice President for Alumnae and Development, Director of Alumnae Relations and Annual Giving, Director of the Boxwood Circle Giving Program, and Associate Director of both the Annual Fund and Alumnae Relations. Witherow earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Sweet Briar College.
