Sarah Kim

Sarah Kim is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Washington and Lee University since July 2023. Previously, Sarah served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Duke University from November 2019 to July 2023, where work focused on designing genetically encoded, post-translationally modified elastin-like polypeptides. Further experience includes roles as a Faculty of the Citizen Science Program at Bard College and as a Preparing Future Faculty Fellow at Duke University. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Cornell University, with significant research and teaching experience at Johns Hopkins and prior undergraduate research positions at Cornell and Arizona State University.
