Mahdi Akhgar

Mahdi Akhgar holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Psychology from the University of Maryland and an Associate of Arts from Montgomery College. Currently serving as the Manager of Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) since March 2015, Mahdi has also held positions as a Senior Project Manager and Consultant (Contractor) at WMATA. Prior to this, Mahdi worked as a Consultant (Contractor) at Fannie Mae from April 2014 to January 2015. Mahdi's educational background and extensive experience in cybersecurity and project management underscore a strong commitment to professional excellence in these fields.
