Prior to this role, Jonathan Kipnis was the Harrison Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Virginia from September 2007 to July 2020, where Jonathan Kipnis also held positions as Professor and Associate Professor. Jonathan Kipnis earned a PhD in Neurobiology/Neuroimmunology from the Weizmann Institute of Science between 1999 and 2004 and completed a BSc in Biology at Tel Aviv University from 1995 to 1998.
