Juan Santamaría is a member of the Board of Directors of WatchGuard Technologies and also serves as an executive advisor. Most recently, Juan was the CEO of Panda Security, which was acquired by WatchGuard in June 2020. As CEO, Juan led the company's growth and innovation across its products for enterprise, midsize business, and consumer segments, solidifying Panda as a leading provider of advanced endpoint protection.
Prior to joining Panda, he was a Managing Director at IPW, where he ran a software-focused investment fund. Other past roles include being the CFO of Sopra Profit and working as a Gartner consultant. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors of Altitude Software and BKOOL, having previously held executive leadership roles at both companies. Juan has also held executive management and board member roles at Optimyth Software (now known as Kiuwan) and Logtrust (now named Devo).
Juan holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as an Executive MBA from INESE, a Master in Financial Management and Control from IE Business School, and has completed a Private Equity Venture Capital Program at Harvard Business School.
