Laura Herman, MBA, PMP, currently serves as the Senior Director of Workforce Development at the Water Environment Federation, a position held since June 2008, where previous roles included Director and Senior Manager of Education & Training. Laura has extensive experience in developing educational programs and initiatives, such as the environmental action program for World Water Monitoring Day. Prior to this, Laura worked as a Research Intern at The Pennsylvania State University focusing on substance abuse prevention research, and as a Research Assistant at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh supporting a smoking cessation program. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Virginia Tech, an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Delaware.
