Daniel Askew has a diverse range of work experience in the finance and accounting field. In 2006, they joined Deloitte UK as an Assistant Manager in the Accounting and Payroll Solutions department, where they managed work timelines and client relationships for various clients. After 12 years at Deloitte, they moved on to WaterAid in 2018, starting as a Finance Assurance Manager. In this role, they provided expert technical advice in accounting and tax, drove process and systems improvements, and was the lead individual responsible for year-end statutory reporting. Daniel took on the role of Global Financial Manager in September 2019 at WaterAid. Daniel also had two secondments during their career, one with Sevan Drilling in 2014 where they assisted with group statutory compliance and consolidation work, and another with The Francis Crick Institute in 2011 where they assisted with statutory compliance and day-to-day finance activities.
Daniel Askew completed their A-Level education in Accounting, Economics, and History at Havering Sixth Form College from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2008, they attended AAT, where they became a Fully Qualified Member. Lastly, from 2008 to 2011, Daniel attended ACCA and also attained the status of a Fully Qualified Member.
