Ellie Fujioka has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Programme Funding Manager at Y Care International for four years. In 2009, they joined Womankind Worldwide as the Head of Fundraising & Communications, and remained there until 2012. Following that, they served as the Head of Income Generation at Mildmay for a short period. In 2012, they joined Farm Africa as the Head of Programme Funding, staying with the organization until 2015. Ellie then moved to Oxfam, where they worked as the UK Government Partnerships Manager until 2018. In 2018, they joined Global Canopy, initially as the Director of Fundraising and Development, and later as the Strategic Planning Lead. In 2020, they worked as a Fundraising and Strategy Consultant at The Womanity Foundation before moving to United Purpose as the Interim Director of Fundraising and Communications in 2021. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Head of Institutional Funding and Partnerships at WaterAid starting in 2022.
Ellie Fujioka pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York from 1989 to 1992. Ellie later went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Environment and Development Policy from the University of Sussex from 1998 to 1999.
