Andrew Mercer

Andrew Mercer currently serves as the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Head of Water Value, and Head of Asset Efficiency at Watercare Services Limited, a position held since March 2015, after progressing from Site Engineering Manager and Project Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Utilities Operations Engineer at Hurunui District Council from November 2013 to January 2015, and previous roles at Watercare Services Limited as a Project Engineer and Water Treatment Planner from February 2011 to November 2013. Andrew began an engineering career as an Engineer Officer with the New Zealand Defence Force from January 2001 to May 2008. Academic qualifications include a Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability with a focus on Water Management from the University of South Australia, attained between 2008 and 2010.
