Nigel Toms

Nigel Toms has extensive experience in risk management, finance, and corporate governance, currently serving as the General Manager of Risk, Quality and Assurance at Watercare Services Limited since August 2010, where contributions include enhancing enterprise risk management and establishing a new risk management system. Prior roles include Chief Financial Officer, Head of Risk & Resilience, and Corporate Risk Manager within Watercare, as well as leadership positions at RiskNZ and experience with Auckland Council and the UK Ministry of Defence, where achievements included aligning risk policies and frameworks with organizational goals. Nigel holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University and is a Chartered Management Accountant, Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
