Nathaniel Li is a Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in April 2027. Nathaniel holds the position of Project Manager for the Mechanical Team at Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group since January 2024 and serves as a mentor in the Mechatronics Mentorship Program. Additionally, Nathaniel is a Software Engineer for the Midnight Sun Solar Rayce Car Team. Previous experience includes roles as a Process Engineering Intern at LEGEND Global and a Software Engineer Intern at i4i. Nathaniel has also worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the University of Waterloo Formula Electric and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Bend All Automotive ULC. Early career experience includes a Sales Intern position at Desjardins.

The University of Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group (WARG) is a student design team at the University of Waterloo competing in the Unmanned Systems Canada Student UAS Competition. We are a passionate group of students focused on innovating the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle industry. We take pride in building everything ourselves, from the autopilot and computer vision software, to the custom designed ZeroPilot board that we use on our aircraft.
