Jim Turchi is an accomplished manufacturing engineering professional with extensive experience in managing engineering teams and production operations. Currently serving as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Waterous since January 2003, Jim oversees a team of 33 hourly and 4 salaried employees, implements quality initiatives, and ensures ISO 9000-2000 compliance. Noteworthy accomplishments include reducing scrap rates from over 1% to 0.3% and increasing efficiency from 84% to 94% between 2003 and 2008. Prior roles include Manufacturing Engineer at Iron Clyde Manufacturing, Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, and various engineering and managerial positions at Barko Hydraulics. Jim holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
