Waterplan
Jacinta Alchouron serves as the Water Advisor Associate Lead at Waterplan (YC S21) since September 2022, focusing on global Water Stewardship strategies for Fortune 500 companies and contributing to international whitepapers presented at World Water Week alongside Amazon and The Rivers Trust. Prior experience includes roles such as Stakeholder Engagement Manager and Lead Scientist at Guaduar, where Jacinta led technology transfer projects aimed at providing safe drinking water to arsenic-affected rural communities in Argentina, and developed bamboo-derived biomaterials with enhanced arsenic adsorption. Jacinta also has a strong research and educational background, having conducted applied research on bamboo-based biomaterials at Facultad de Agronomía - Universidad de Buenos Aires, and served as an educator within vulnerable communities. Jacinta’s academic credentials include a PhD in Environmental Sciences and a Licenciatura in Biología Ambiental from the University of Buenos Aires. During a brief tenure as a Research Trainee with the Fulbright Association, advanced training in nanomaterial-based water remediation was completed.
