Ovidiu Pop is a seasoned data engineering and automation expert with extensive experience in leading technical projects at Waters Corporation and previously at IBM and Siemens. As a Principal Data Engineer at Waters Corporation since August 2016, Ovidiu has spearheaded the development of scalable ETL frameworks and is actively involved in a machine learning application to enhance company-wide forecasting. Prior roles include Principal Automation Engineer and Senior Automation Engineer, where Ovidiu focused on test automation initiatives and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Ovidiu began a career as a Research Software Engineer, working with scientists to automate workflows and develop algorithms for large datasets, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Transilvania University of Brasov.
