Mr. Basak, a retired IAS officer, served the Government of Maharashtra in various capacities including, as Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board, and Secretary of Water Conservation and EGS. Besides, he held several other important positions such as the CEO of Bhir Zilla Parishad, Collector for Nasik and Nanded Districts, as well as Commissioner, Dairy Development.
Mr. Basak has a wealth of knowledge and experience in diverse facets of development administration. He assumed the Chairmanship of WOTR in 2016.
