Network & Security Engineering Intern

Job Description: WayFi Wireless is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to work under the guidance of Chief Architect, Simeon, on cutting-edge network security, automation, and wireless technology projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in Wi-Fi networking, cybersecurity, and carrier offloading solutions, with a focus on Passpoint, OpenRoaming, and Wi-Fi DAS deployments.

What You’ll Do: 🔹 Assist in configuring, testing, and optimizing wireless networks and security protocols. 🔹 Work with Passpoint and OpenRoaming technologies to support seamless authentication and secure connectivity. 🔹 Develop automation scripts for network deployment and monitoring. 🔹 Research and implement best practices in cybersecurity to enhance network security. 🔹 Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues. 🔹 Document findings, generate reports, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

What We’re Looking For: ✅ Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Network Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. ✅ Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi networking, Linux, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.). ✅ Interest in wireless technologies, security protocols, and automation. ✅ Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. ✅ Ability to work independently while collaborating with a highly technical team.
