Mari Ellis

Mari Ellis serves as the Associate Director for Marketing and Communications at Wayne State University, a position held since January 2023, after a seven-year tenure in the same role starting in 2014. With extensive experience in strategic planning, marketing, and communications, Mari has directed efforts for the WSU College of Nursing, overseeing social media campaigns and media relations. Prior to this, a diverse career included freelance work as an editor and web designer, as well as positions at the University of Michigan-School of Public Health and Canton Township, where expertise in web design and content management was demonstrated. An academic background includes a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan and ongoing studies in Public Relations and Organizational Communication at Wayne State University, complemented by a culinary arts certificate from Schoolcraft College.
