Mike Malach

Mike Malach is an experienced professional in college athletics administration, currently serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Operations at Wayne State University since October 2023. Previously, Mike held the position of Executive Director of the Ann Arbor Sports Commission at Destination Ann Arbor from October 2018 to August 2023, focusing on enhancing the quality of life through sports in Washtenaw County. From September 1998 to October 2018, Mike worked as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Finance, Facilities and Operations at Eastern Michigan University, overseeing a $30 million budget and managing various business operations and event management. Earlier in Mike's career, a role as Assistant Athletic Director - Business at Southeast Missouri State University involved oversight of budgeting, game operations, ticketing, and team travel. Mike holds a Master's degree in Sports Management from Eastern Kentucky University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Carroll University.
