Bernard de Galembert is a seasoned executive in sustainable development and forestry management, currently serving as the Forest Solutions Group Director at WBCSD since January 2024, focusing on promoting sustainable working forests and a sustainable bioeconomy. Bernard has extensive experience in top management roles, overseeing farm estates with GFA de Galembert since March 2001 and managing a forest holding in Burgundy for SC des Forêts d'Etteveaux until April 2023. Previous positions include Director at Cefic, where the emphasis was on bioeconomy and biomass-derived chemicals, and multiple roles at CEPI, including Innovation and Bioeconomy Director. Educational credentials include a Master in Human Resources Management from Ichec Brussels Management School and a Master’s Degree in International Business and Management, complemented by specialized training in Forest Management. Additional contributions include governance roles at various organizations such as the Comité Scolaire Ecole Notre-Dame-des-Grâces and the European Landowners' Organisation.
