Mariah Woelfel is an experienced journalist currently serving as a City Government Reporter and General Assignment Reporter/Producer at Chicago Public Media since October 2017. Previously, Mariah held the position of Reporting Fellow at WVIK, Quad Cities NPR from March to October 2017 and completed a news reporting internship at Chicago Public Media from June to December 2016. Mariah has also served as Treasurer for the Society of Professional Journalists and as Multimedia Editor for The DePaulia during the period of January 2015 to June 2016, alongside a Writing Center Tutor role at DePaul University Writing Center from September 2013 to May 2015. Notable internship experiences include working with the Irish Parliament as an intern for the Minister of Finance and as an Editorial Intern at StreetWise, Inc. Mariah earned a degree from DePaul University, graduating in 2016.
