Melissa Havens

Melissa Havens serves as Senior Counsel and Vice President of Risk Management at WCG, leading the company's enterprise-wide insurance and risk management functions, as well as real estate transactions. With extensive experience in providing in-house legal counsel, Melissa has played a critical role in the organization’s growth from 1 to 30 operating entities. Responsibilities have encompassed negotiating complex contracts, overseeing business insurance functions, and managing regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, Melissa is a member of various senior leadership and governance committees within WCG and contributes to the Washington Supreme Court's Gender & Justice Commission. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor in Health Law from Marquette University, an MBA in Public Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelor's in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa.
