Jerome Gudgeon

Jerome Gudgeon has a wealth of experience in the technology and fintech industry. Jerome is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at WEALTH at work since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Advisor at SwissBorg starting from December 2020.

From October 2019 to January 2022, Jerome was the Group CTO for Global Processing Services, where they played a crucial role in launching the Global Processing Platform into the AWS Cloud and introducing new API and data capabilities. During their time there, the company was acquired for $400M by Advent, Viking, and Temasek.

Jerome also worked as the CTO and Co-Founder of Shieldpay from December 2016 to November 2019. Shieldpay is an innovative fintech company that enables instant digital escrow and is a global partner of Visa.

Before that, they had multiple roles as a Consultant Technology Executive, providing support and advice on technical strategies, team leadership, start-up mentoring, FinTech advisory, and more.

Jerome also served as the CIO - Head of Technology UK and Europe at TD Wealth International from August 2012 to December 2014. Jerome was responsible for all technology aspects of wealth and direct investing, including core banking systems, online/mobile strategy, and digital business strategy.

Furthermore, Jerome gained valuable experience as the CTO of a Swiss Private Bank from May 2009 to July 2012. Jerome successfully stabilized underperforming core systems and led the transformation of technology capabilities to drive customer growth.

Earlier in their career, Jerome held the position of Vice President - Head of International Interactive and Financial Services Technology at American Express from January 2001 to March 2009. Jerome led international online development, online card servicing, online FX trading, and e-banking.

Jerome's career began as a Founder, IT Director, and Board Member of Sharepeople Limited, a start-up online brokerage and wealth management company. The company was acquired by American Express, and Jerome was responsible for the operation, design, technical architecture, and securing funding.

Jerome also gained experience at Fidelity Investments as a Lead Technical Architect, where they had overall architectural responsibility for dealing and customer servicing systems.

Jerome's extensive work experience showcases their expertise in technology leadership, fintech, digital transformation, and strategic planning in the financial services industry.

Jerome Gudgeon completed their education in the field of computer science. Between the years 1987 and 1989, they attended South Devon College, where they obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Computing. Following that, from 1989 to 1993, they pursued further education at Staffordshire University, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Computer Science.
