The Role

This is an integral role in defining our product and its pathway through design, compliance and manufacturing to a successful outcome. This is a senior role with opportunity to grow into or already be a lead architect role for the right candidate.

Our product is novel; it has a groundbreaking UX for multiple users. It includes numerous new IP blocks, requires high-efficiency manufacturing systems, has multiple embedded processors and communications protocols, custom hardware, and integrated third-party components, is highly regulated, and will ship to multiple countries.

We already have a number of systems outlines, concepts, and functional prototypes - we need to resolve these to a real product in the market - and we need a top systems engineer to help us coordinate and navigate our complex design needs.

Some of the things that you might be involved in initially include:

Establishing, documenting, and disambiguating our complex product and regulatory requirements. Creating an efficient documentation and information sharing system for tracking our system requirements through the product lifecycle. Working with the engineering team to assist in rapid prototyping of new concepts to realise and validate IP blocks and systems concepts. Working alongside our regulatory team to understand compliance constraints and ideating systems designs and strategies. About You

We think you’ll be a fit for this role if:

You are tertiary qualified in Engineering (preferred). You can work across disciplines and are comfortable operating in a senior engineering role. You have experience working in complex regulated environments. You have the ability to articulate the impacts of systems decisions on all design customers such as software, hardware and users. You have broad experience in the electrical and electronics industry underpinning an ability to foresee and appreciate the impact of design decisions across electrical infrastructure, hardware, software, communications, safety & security.
