Jesse Senje Yuan's work experience began in 2007 as a Production Assistant at ArtAsiaPacific Magazine. They then became an Advertising Representative at the same company in 2008 and held both positions until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, Jesse worked as a Designer at Senje Yuan Design. They then took on freelance design roles at JWalk and Deborah Adler Studio in 2012. In the same year, Jesse became a User Interface Designer at AOL Music. In 2013, they joined Kettle as an Interaction Designer and progressed through various roles, including Senior Visual Designer, Art Director, Senior Art Director, and Associate Design Director. Currently, Jesse holds the position of Director of Interaction Design at Kettle, starting in June 2021.
Jesse Senje Yuan completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Studio Art from New York University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. They later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Designer as Author from the School of Visual Arts, attending from 2010 to 2012.

For the last 13 years, SxSW has honored the top Web developers and designers worldwide.Kettle designed HeyWalkies in partnership with Jackson/Laycock, an iPhone application for dog owners in New York City. Apple featured the app in their TV ad commercial: Dog Lover.
