Luminary
Cate Luzio is the Founder and CEO of Luminary, a collaboration hub for women seeking professional development and networking opportunities. Cate left a successful career in financial services to focus on empowering and connecting women across industries. In 2021, Luzio also became the Owner of The Glass Ceiling Nomad, a stylish rooftop lounge in NYC's Nomad district. Additionally, they serve as a Member of the Board of Directors for Pomp and Whimsy and is a Contributor for Fast Company and Forbes. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Luzio held senior positions at HSBC, JP Morgan, and Bank of America, where they specialized in corporate banking and international development. Cate'searly career included a role at WebPerfect, where they focused on partnerships and business development.
Cate Luzio completed their high school education at Matawan Regional High School from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they attended the University of Maryland from 1993 to 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish. In 1996, Cate briefly attended the Spanish American Institute to further their studies in Spanish. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Relations at Georgetown University.
