Simone Castillo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership, advisory roles, and investment. As the Founder and President of Velvet Canary Advisors since July 2019, Simone has also taken on positions such as Global Business Advisor at Afro Helix Global, Fellow at American Express x Luminary, and Select Global Women in Tech Mentor for the International Trade Administration. Additionally, Simone has contributed as an Angel Investor with Pipeline Angels and has served as a Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach at Context & Nuance. Previous roles include Director of Revenues at New York Public Radio and Senior Advisor in the Office of the Vice Chair, Tax at KPMG, LLP. Simone holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in International Relations & Economics from Tufts University.
