Michael Hurowitz

Michael Hurowitz is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in various roles within the environmental technology and engineering sectors. As CEO of Weather Stream and Founder, CEO, and CTO of Orbital Micro Systems, Michael has been instrumental in developing innovative weather intelligence systems, including the pioneering Global Environmental Monitoring System (GEMS) utilizing micro satellites. Michael also holds a key position as a Member at the NOAA/CU Center for Environmental Technology and serves as an instructor at the University of Colorado Boulder, teaching advanced electronics hardware design. Co-founding AcroOptics LLC, Michael focuses on specialized lighting solutions for horticulture, while also providing consulting services through Enventa LLC. With a strong foundation in engineering physics from the Colorado School of Mines, Michael’s diverse contributions span various cutting-edge projects and initiatives in technology and environmental science.
