Matt Renlund

Matt Renlund has an extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Matt currently holds the position of VP Deputy Chief Risk Officer at WebBank since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) where they held multiple roles including Senior Risk Examiner, Senior Risk Examiner for Large Financial Institutions, and Financial Institution Examiner from 2008 to 2022. Before joining FDIC, they worked as a Commercial Underwriter at Bank of the West from June 2007 to April 2008.

Matt Renlund earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business. Matt also attended ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking from 2015 to 2017. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Wharton Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School in 2017 and completed an Executive Risk Management Program at the Center for Executive Development at Texas A&M University, with a certification year of 2023. Additionally, they have pursued the FDIC Risk Management Commission - Series 91 certification through FINRA.
