Shirley Risen

Shirley Risen, CPA, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at WEDU PBS since February 2024. Prior to this role, Shirley was a Finance and Accounting Executive in independent consulting from January to June 2024 and held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Gulf Coast Industrial Maintenance LLC from November 2021 to June 2024. Between September 2014 and December 2021, Shirley was Vice President of Finance at BRACE Integrated Services, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer at Lockmasters, Inc. from February 2008 to August 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as Site Controller at Amazon.com, where responsibilities involved overseeing financial operations for a $70 million business unit, and as Controller at Apex Development, Inc., managing comprehensive accounting functions. Shirley Risen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Campbellsville University and a Master’s of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kentucky.
