Kaspars Sudars is a Senior Researcher at the EDI - Institute of Electronics and Computer Science since 2006, focusing on R&D in AI applications, explainable AI, semantic segmentation, and object detection in images. Kaspars co-founded WeedBot in 2020, specializing in high precision in-row weeding for delicate crops. From 2012 to 2018, Kaspars served as a Docent at the University of Latvia, delivering lectures on Digital Signal Processing. In 2010, Kaspars was a Visiting PhD Student at Tallinn University of Technology, where research involved signal processing and non-uniform sampling for bio-impedance measurement applications.
