Richard Bate

Richard Bate is a legal professional with extensive experience in the fields of Wills, Trusts, Tax, and Probate. Currently serving as a Partner at Weightmans since May 2017, Richard leads the national team in this specialty. Prior roles include Visiting Lecturer at The University of Law from October 2016 to October 2020, and Private Client Partner at Brabners until May 2017. Richard started as a Solicitor at Awdry Bailey & Douglas, followed by a role at Lee and Priestley, and progressed through positions at Cuff Roberts and Brabners. Richard holds an LLB in Law from the University of Liverpool, obtained between 1988 and 1991, and has a foundational education from Liverpool The Blue Coat School and Hillfoot Hey Comprehensive.
