Danny Goldstein has been working in the software engineering and computing systems data engineering fields since 2018. In that year, they began their role as a NASA Hubble Fellow at Caltech, where they were the principal developer of an automated, parallelized image subtraction pipeline running on AWS. In 2020, they moved to Berkeley Lab, where they were a core developer on Skyportal, a Python/Postgres/React.js portal to manage and collaborate on astrophysics research. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Weights & Biases.
Danny Goldstein obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Danny then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2018.
