He has a diverse litigation practice which also includes commercial and civil matters, as well as leasing and employment matters.
Brian works with a variety of clients, ranging from large corporations and public institutions to small businesses and individuals.
He has experience working on construction lien files, and regularly drafts pleadings in a broad range of commercial and construction litigation matters with particular focus on construction liens, deficiency claims, commercial leasing, debtor/creditor and employment law.
Brian frequently appears in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and he has also appeared before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
In addition to his experience in law, Brian has worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at Queen’s Park, where he provided strategic policy advice to multiple members of cabinet on a wide range of justice issues.
As a law student at Dalhousie University, Brian received the A.S. Pattillo Prize – the law school’s highest award for advocacy. He was also a top five finisher at the Laskin Moot, a national mooting competition in constitutional and administrative law.
