Kelly Christell Hrdina has a diverse work experience in the field of art and design. Kelly started their career in 1997 as a Graphic Designer at Suburban Journals, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they served as a Graphic Designer for Moderate Sportswear at May Merchandising Company. During their time at May Merchandising Company, they also worked as a Layout Artist from 2004 to 2006.

In 2006, Kelly joined Macy's Midwest as an Art Director and served in that role until 2008. Following their tenure at Macy's Midwest, they joined Weissman Theatrical Supplies in 2008 and has held several roles there, including Art Director, Art Production Manager, and currently, Production Art Director. Kelly is still involved with Weissman Theatrical Supplies, where they oversee the artistic aspects of the company.

Kelly Christell Hrdina's education history begins in 1994 when they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia for two years. During this time, they focused on Art/Art Studies, General, but did not obtain a degree. In 1996, they transferred to St. Charles Community College where they earned an AFA degree in Graphic Design, completing their studies in 1997. In 1998, they continued their education at Lindenwood University, specializing in Graphic Design, but did not graduate with a degree.

Aside from their formal education, Kelly obtained a certification in "How to Organize Your Time and Your Life" from LinkedIn in March 2023.
