Leo Chan

Leo Chan's work experience includes positions at various companies in different roles.

At WeLab, they worked as a Senior Manager in Group Technology, where they served as a System Architect on the Digital Bank project transformation of Bank Jasa Jakarta to Virtual Bank Business. Leo was responsible for explaining the existing architecture and design to the development team for localization development, adopting Open Source Software to mitigate project costs, designing and implementing Open API for external partners, and preparing documentation for Indonesia Compliance team.

Prior to that, Leo was the Head of IT at Blockchain Solutions Limited. During their time there, they delivered projects such as the OGCIO Pilot Project for the Intellectual Property Department, where they implemented a workflow system using Hyperledger Fabric and IPFS for tracking trademark activities. Leo also worked on the OGCIO Pilot Project for the Department of Health, where they adopted Hyperledger Fabric to establish an ecosystem with logistic companies and drug manufacturers for data collaboration on vaccine distribution.

Leo also worked at CBX Software as a System Architect, providing architecture design and review for client projects and advisory on performance tuning. Leo was involved in database tuning, SQL tuning, and functions revamping.

Additionally, Leo worked at Lab Partners Ltd as a Senior Consultant, where they worked on the development of the MetLife Hong Kong Agency Mobile Application. Leo was responsible for the native programming language and backend server implementation.

Leo Chan completed their education at the University of Hong Kong. From 1992 to 1995, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from 1997 to 2002 at the same university.

Leo Chan also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they acquired a Data Science & Machine Learning Certificate from Accelerate HK, as well as an Accelerate Certificate for Blockchain: Avenue to the future. In 2021, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for Hyperledger Besu Essentials: Creating a Private Blockchain Network. Additionally, they completed a Master Class on Hyperledger Besu from Udemy, although the exact month and year of completion are not specified.
