As vice president, Medicare Advantage, Jason provides the strategic direction and leadership for building and successfully running a Medicare Advantage (MA) plan in Iowa and South Dakota, in a joint venture structure, for Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
In this position, Jason has the responsibility to develop Wellmark's successful entrance into the MA market to serve members with more options to fit their health care needs. He aligns the development of Medicare programs and works with internal resources, external consultants, and the joint venture partners to design the operating model, business plan, key performance metrics and management strategy to go to market.
With more than 20 years in the health care industry, Jason applies extensive expertise and great perspective to this role and the organization.
