Matthew Carrus is Vice President, Treasurer – Finance and Capital Markets at Welltower Inc. As Treasurer, Mr. Carrus is responsible for overseeing the Company’s capitalization strategy, liquidity, cash management, and hedging activity. Mr. Carrus also oversees the Company’s capital markets activity. In these roles he leads the execution of public capital markets transactions while maintaining ongoing relationships with lenders, investment banks, rating agencies, research analysts and investors.
Mr. Carrus joined Welltower in 2016 and has worked in several capacities, including underwriting and investments, portfolio management and finance. Prior to joining Welltower, Mr. Carrus held various positions in healthcare services and investment advisory firms.
Mr. Carrus graduated with honors from Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
