Crate Herbert serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement & External Relations at Wentworth Institute of Technology since January 2021 and has been a Faculty Dean at Cabot House, Harvard College, since July 2020. Prior to these roles, Crate Herbert held multiple positions at Harvard University, including Executive Director of Development for the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from September 2016 to December 2020, and spent several years in various executive development roles within the institution's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Senior Major Gifts Officer at Harvard School of Public Health and Director of Development at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specifically for the Women At Risk program. Crate Herbert holds a BA in Music and Philosophy from Earlham College and an MA in Music from The University of Texas at Austin.
