Yung-Kang Chu

Yung-Kang Chu has extensive experience in the field of software engineering and DevOps. Yung-Kang worked at WePay as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer starting in 2018. Prior to that, they held a position at BlackBerry as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they developed Ansible Playbook files, bash shell scripts, and Python scripts for infrastructure configuration management and product deployment. Yung-Kang also built CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrated them with GIT.

Before their role at BlackBerry, Yung-Kang Chu worked at Cisco for many years in various positions. Yung-Kang was a Senior Software Engineer and DevOps Engineer for the Cisco Spark - Cloud Collaboration Team, where they developed test automation scripts and performed DevOps operations using Jenkins, Ansible, Splunk, Grafana, and ELK. Yung-Kang also created Splunk and Grafana dashboards to monitor metrics.

At Cisco, Yung-Kang Chu also worked as a Senior Software Engineer, QA Engineer, and Scrum Master for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Mobility Team. Yung-Kang led the team in testing and developing automation scripts, as well as transitioning from Waterfall to Agile.

In addition, Yung-Kang Chu worked as a Senior Software Engineer and developer for various teams at Cisco, including the Security Team, the Admin GUI/Database Team, and the Media Gateway Manager Team. Yung-Kang designed and implemented various features and supported existing systems.

Prior to their time at Cisco, Yung-Kang Chu worked as a Software Engineer for Alcatel-Lucent and AT&T. At AT&T, they worked on projects such as the Call Attempt Data Collection System and the NEMOS system for network management. Yung-Kang developed data collection interfaces, web-based graphical user interfaces, and applications using various technologies.

Yung-Kang Chu has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Communication Engineering from National Chiao Tung University.
