West Indies Petroleum, a physical bunker supplier, blends to your specification, providing the widest range of intermediate fuels as well as Marine Gas Oil to all nine ports across Jamaica. We fuel your vessel by barge in Kingston Harbour and Road Tank Wagon at all other ports with accuracy, efficiency and integrity. Safety and professionalism are our hallmarks. Our prices are flexible and we have no minimum volumes. West Indies Petroleum commenced operations in 2013 as a special-purpose vehicle to enter the ship bunkering business in the Caribbean and Latin American region. It was founded out of the need to meet the ever-growing demand for the region’s marine refuelling as well as the necessity to establish Jamaica as a global logistics hub. In June 2016, we acquired West Indies Petroleum, South Terminal, a 600,000-barrel fuel storage facility located at Port Esquivel on the south coast of Jamaica. In addition, we host the storage of 63,000 barrel tanks on the north coast and a further 72,000 barrels over two tug and barges in Kingston Harbour. With storage in excess of 700,000 barrels, West Indies Petroleum boasts the largest fuel bunker capabilities in Jamaica. It is positioned centrally between the three major shipping lanes from the Caribbean region entering to and from South America, the Gulf Coast, stretching along the US east coast as far as Europe and Asia. Quality, safety and economic sense are the basics of our organization. We ensure full compliance with all local and international marine specifications and requirements. Our supply agreement with the local refinery Petrojam Ltd guarantees its customers quantity and quality certification. All products we supply meet the applicable ISO 8217/2010 standards and are in compliance with MARPOL 73/78, Annex VI. All our vessels and ventures are adequately insured and in class. Most importantly we strive to offer better service, better quality; accurately safely and efficiently.
