The West of Orkney Windfarm has the potential to power more than two million homes and deliver long-term economic benefits to the communities across the north of Scotland. 

The project is being developed by our team based in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Orkney, led by specialist offshore wind business Corio Generation, global multi-energy company TotalEnergies, and Scottish offshore wind developer RIDG. Together the partners bring a unique combination of financial, technical and project delivery capabilities.

Our vision is to develop a world leading offshore windfarm which will support deep decarbonisation across the Scottish economy, while maximising socio-economic benefits to the Scottish supply chain and the communities in which we operate.

The West of Orkney Windfarm will utilise fixed-bottom foundations for the wind turbines. It also has a grid connection agreement with National Grid for a 2029 connection.
