James Washbish

James Washbish is an accomplished swim coach currently serving as the men’s and women’s assistant swim coach at West Virginia University since September 2023. Previously, James held the position of assistant swim coach at Ohio University from September 2021 to June 2023 and was the head swim coach at Lafayette High School from September 2019 to September 2021. James has extensive coaching experience with various teams, including the Hartland Swim and Dive Team and Kentucky Aquatics, where responsibilities ranged from head coach to assistant coach, focusing on providing drill instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for swimmers aged 4-18. James graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Community and Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky in 2018.
