Rob Thornton

Rob Thornton serves as the Director and Visiting Lecturer at Westfield State University since December 2013, where courses taught include the First-Year Experience Seminar. Prior to this role, Rob Thornton was the Assistant Director and Academic Advisor at Point Park University from August 2010 to December 2013, and also taught HIST 150 Introduction to the Study of History, which involved syllabus development and student assessment. Earlier experiences include a Graduate Assistantship at Edinboro University, where Rob Thornton conducted research for the History Department and helped coordinate the annual History Graduate Conference. Additional experience includes a peer mentoring role at Edinboro University and an internship at the Senator John Heinz History Center, focusing on museum operations and research. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from Edinboro University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Edinboro University.
