Dan Stackhouse

VP, Resource Development at Westminster Canterbury Corporation

Dan joined Westminster Canterbury Richmond in 2023. Previously, Dan served as the Director of Development at The New Community School in Richmond for ten years. He was the school’s leader of fundraising and communications strategy, and led the efforts to raise over $19 million to support the school’s mission and programs. Prior to The New Community School, Dan served as the Director of Development at the Library of Virginia Foundation and Director of Corporate Development at Community Ideas Station, now Virginia Public Media.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Richmond, a member and past Board President of the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives (VAFRE), as well as a member and board trustee of the Richmond Triangle Players.

Westminster Canterbury Richmond was founded in 1971 by the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches and opened in 1975. Westminster Canterbury Richmond was the first among Richmond-area retirement communities to earn accreditation by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (now CARF-CCAC), the independent authority that evaluates all aspects of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).
