Michael Chiu

Michael Chiu is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Parkway Schools since August 2021 and providing hybrid education in English, History, and Mathematics for students in grades 7-12 at John Burroughs School since September 2020. In addition to these roles, Michael performs as an Upper School Substitute Teacher and Proctor at Westminster Christian Academy, stepping in for various AP classes while supporting hybrid learning models. Michael has also contributed to the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners as an Election Poll Manager and Supervisor, and worked as a private tutor through Varsity Tutors, as well as a substitute teacher for Kelly Educational Staffing. Previous experience includes serving as a Consierge at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital and participating on the Board of Directors for Furman Forward. Michael holds a Master's degree in Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary and multiple Bachelor's degrees in History and Communication Studies from Furman University.
