Chris Hillier

Chris Hillier is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in risk and compliance, financial reporting, and external auditing. Currently serving as Financial Controller and Head of Risk and Compliance at Westpac New Zealand since February 2018, Chris is responsible for delivering balance sheet reports and ensuring regulatory compliance. Previous roles include Financial Controller at Sovereign and Senior Manager of External Reporting at Westpac, where Chris focused on maintaining reporting integrity and driving process improvements. Chris also held managerial positions at Royal Bank of Scotland and UBS, managing teams and overseeing financial data related to structured credit and derivatives. An alumnus of The University of Auckland, Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance.
