Megan Allman is an experienced digital content manager and producer, currently working at WFMY News 2 since December 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing morning operations for the digital team and developing original content based on trending topics. Previously, Megan served as a digital producer at WFMY News 2 from January 2015, focusing on creating engaging social media content and identifying trending news stories. Earlier experience includes working as a sports media production assistant for Charlotte 49ers Athletics, where responsibilities encompassed producing video content and managing live event crews, as well as an internship at WBTV Charlotte that involved coverage of sports events. Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

WFMY News 2 is a station that focuses on serving the community. With every story we cover on the air and online at www.wfmynews2.com, our goal is to Get Answers for our viewers and users. Viewers see our WFMY News 2 team in the public throughout the year participating in events to help the community. Our Food 2 Families event collects tens of thousands of pounds of food each year to feed the hungry. Our Tools for Schools project provides 30,000+ students per year with basic supplies to help them succeed in school. We believe in serving the people of the Triad and this belief truly governs the decisions we make as a local information center.
