Tim Buckley has a extensive work experience in the field of broadcast meteorology. Tim started as a Meteorologist, Anchor, and Reporter at "Weather or Not" in 2008. Later that year, they became a Meteorology Teaching Assistant at Penn State University. In 2008, they also served as a Meteorologist for the Centre County Report. From 2008 to 2009, Tim worked as a Meteorologist at AccuWeather, where they provided weather forecasts on multiple platforms and managed severe weather threats for clients across the country. Tim then joined WWAY News Channel 3 in 2009, where they held multiple roles including Weekend Meteorologist and Morning Meteorologist / Co-Anchor. In 2014, Tim joined WFMY News 2 as a Weekend Meteorologist and later became the Chief Meteorologist. Tim is responsible for delivering forecasts and leading the weather department, covering severe weather events in North Carolina. Tim has extensive experience covering hurricanes, winter storms, and tornado outbreaks among other high-impact weather events.
Tim Buckley attended Penn State University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.
