Jason Stephens

Jason Stephens is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a Mentor at The Young Lives Foundation since November 2023. With a strong background in corporate and advertising law, Jason has held various leadership roles at what3words since March 2022, including Head of Legal and Interim Head of Legal. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Legal Counsel and Corporate Counsel at Luminance, offering sole legal counsel, and working at Pentland Brands as Corporate Counsel, focusing on multiple brands. Jason's legal career began at Gowling WLG UK as an Associate in Advertising and IP law, following a comprehensive trainee solicitor experience. Additional roles include In House Lawyer at the Rugby Football Union, Investigations Executive at the Advertising Standards Authority, and a paralegal at White & Case LLP. Earlier entrepreneurial experience includes directing Bla Bla Ltd and founding The Gradvine magazine. Jason holds advanced legal qualifications from The College of Law and a BA in History from the University of Kent.
